Antonio A. San Martín, MD

 

Dr. San Martín has more than 20 years of experience in Optometry and Ophthalmology. After receiving a bachelors in arts from the University of Texas at Austin, he went on to receive his bachelors in science from the University of Houston. He received his  Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston. He then received his Doctorate from the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, Texas.He performed his medical internship and residency in Ophthalmology at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, TX.


His academic appointments included:
Chief, US Army Clinic, Hawthorne Army Depot, Nevada; Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Texas Tech University School of Medicine; Chief, Section of Ophthalmology, William Beaumont Army Hospital, Fort Bliss Texas; Chief, Section of Ophthalmology, Southwest General Hospital, San Antonio, Texas; Vice-Chairman, Department of Surgery, St. Rose Catholic Hospital, San Antonio, Texas; Surgery Executive Committee Member, St. Rose Catholic Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.

He is an active surgeon at Focal Point Vision Correction. He specializes in glaucoma and medical ophthalmology .

He is a member of the American Academy Ophthalmology, the Texas Medical Association, Bexar County Medical Society, San Antonio Society of Ophthalmology, and the Mexican American Physicians Association.
